Jasmine

Alford

Alumni Artist in Residence

Born and raised in Coney Island but currently residing in Harlem, Jasmine is a visual and performance-based artist who works across a variety of mediums including paint and ink. "My art is an expression of self-love," says Jasmine. "Even if it looks dark at times, I feel like my work can bring people peace by making them feel like they aren't alone in their mental health journeys." As a Litefeet Dancer in addition to her work as a visual artist, Jasmine uses physical movement as a way to express her inner-empowerment to the public at large.

Jasmine's artwork has recently been shown at Hannah Traore Gallery, AHL Foundation, and others. She has most recently worked with Artistic Noise as our A&E Studio Assistant as well as an artist for our recent Flatbush Central mural project.
