Program Director of Residential Placement, NYC

Francesca DeBiaso is an art therapist living in Brooklyn, New York. She received her BA in Art History (2012) from Gettysburg College where she focused her studies on feminist art of the 1970s. Her interest in the intersection of mental health and creative expression led her to pursue an MPS in Art Therapy at the School of Visual Arts (2017). During her first year of graduate school, Francesca interned with Artistic Noise which solidified for her the connection between art therapy and social justice. She was hired on after the internship ended and was the Program Coordinator for C.A.S.E.S.'s Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) and planned a curriculum that focused on personal, professional and artistic development. She then interned at MercyFirst, a residential treatment center for adolescents located in Syosset, Long Island where she deepened her understanding of clinical assessment and trauma-informed art therapy. Francesca is excited to be apart of the team at Artistic Noise and is grateful to support these young people on their journey.
