Beth Chapnick, LCAT, ATR-BC, is an experienced licensed Creative Arts Therapist living in The Bronx. Beth is a born and raised New Yorker that has had experience with many different populations. Beth received her B.A from Hunter College City University of New York. She then received her M.A from Hofstra University in Creative Arts Therapies and Counseling. Her credentials stand for Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, Board Certified Registered Art Therapist. She has also practiced as a Psychotherapist in a variety of settings.
Beth works very closely with all members of a team to try and create a successful support system and plan for all clients. She has worked and supervised staff in the school systems to create counseling programs in Yonkers, NY. She is a huge advocate for mental health and wellness for all ages. Prior to working in the school system, for over two years she worked at an outpatient family mental health clinic in the South Bronx, that serviced client cases that include but do not limit: CPS, court mandated, high risk adults and children, foster care, substance abuse, recently incarcerated, homeless populations, as well as trauma work. Beth also spent the last four years working and directing an Art Therapy program that services children with special needs; and has recently opened up her own Private Practice.
Beth has been an artist her entire life and knew very early on that she wanted to pursue a degree and license in Art Therapy. Art is the language of the soul and our art shows more about ourselves than we realize. Nonverbal communication is just as important as verbal communication, you just have to learn how to speak that language. Beth is extremely excited to join the Artistic Noise team and experience once again, the healing power of art.
